We can…

  • provide guidance, encouragement and instruction, showing you how to organize and maintain a clutter-free space.
  • remove items to be donated and provide you with a receipt from the donation center for you to use for tax purposes.
  • provide referrals to and work with other organizations and companies to provide the additional services that you may require.

HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?

Phone Consultation and Appointment Scheduling

During our initial phone conversation, the organizer will gather some basic information and schedule a meeting. It is important that you and the organizer find a time with the least amount of distractions. If there are other people living in the house who will be affected by the organizing process, it would be helpful for them to be there as well.

In-Home Consultation

We will walk around your home or office and help you to articulate what you like and don’t like about the physical spaces in which you live or work. Together, we will discover what your goals and needs are. We will look at issues such as…

  • maximizing storage space
  • clutter control
  • difficulty using the space because of physical limitations or structural organization
  • removal of items to be donated
  • moving to a new home/office with as little stress as possible
  • how to maintain an organized space

Because we will see your space through different eyes, we may be able to identify some of the items you already own that can be repurposed.

How long will it take?

Many people ask the question, “How long will it take to get organized?” Unfortunately, it is a difficult question to answer. The answer is always, “It depends.” During the in-home consultation, the organizer will help you to clarify your goals for the project; identifying what you want done; how often you want to meet; how quickly you can make decisions, what you can accomplish on your own in between sessions and the number of organizers who will be at each session.

Will you make me throw everything away?

If your primary experience with professional organizers is through television, you may fear that your organizer will force you to get rid of items that you love.

Please be assured that, unless it is moldy, decomposing or otherwise a health hazard, you will never be asked to get rid of an item that you own and want.

Decisions can be difficult to make and space may be limited but we will work with you to help you stick to your goals and clarify what to keep and what to donate.

However, if we feel that it is contributing to the disorganization and clutter in your life, we may encourage you to donate it that so someone else may enjoy it.

With the exception of health hazards, RieOrganize! has a clear policy to respect your decisions about what you wish to do with you stuff. Ultimately, however, you have the final say in the matter.

Finances and Payment

For many, finances are often a consideration. Our rates may be found here. Should you choose a discounted package, the hours must be used within one of purchase unless alternative arrangements are made with RieOrganize! Unused hours/fees are non-reimbursable.

Keep in mind that being organized will not only make your life easier by being able to find things when you want them, it can also help save you money in the long run by alleviating the need to purchase items you already own but cannot find or enable you to pay bills on time reducing the amount of late charges that you incur.

Scheduling Additional Visits

At the end of the first visit, we will discuss your financial options, answer any questions and schedule future visits. We recommend scheduling multiple visits in advance because our calendars fill up quickly.
